If you've never lifted weights before, walking into a gym can feel overwhelming.
Sridhar has helped dozens of complete beginners build strong, confident, capable bodies. Here's your starting point.
Why Strength Training?
Strength training builds muscle, burns fat (even at rest), strengthens bones, improves posture, boosts testosterone, and dramatically improves quality of life as you age. It's the single most effective form of exercise for body transformation.
The 5 Fundamental Movement Patterns
Master these before anything else:
- Squat — Goblet squat, then barbell squat
- Hinge — Romanian deadlift, then conventional deadlift
- Push — Push-up, then bench press and overhead press
- Pull — Lat pulldown, then pull-ups
- Carry — Farmer's carry for full-body stability
How Many Days Per Week?
For beginners: 3 days per week is ideal. This allows for adequate recovery while providing enough frequency to learn the movements and build momentum.
Progressive Overload: The #1 Rule
The only way to keep getting stronger is to progressively challenge your body. Each week, aim to add a small amount of weight, an extra rep, or an additional set to your exercises.
What to Expect in Your First Month
Weeks 1–2: Soreness, learning movements, building the habit. Weeks 3–4: Movements start feeling natural, first strength gains appear, energy levels improve. By week 4, most ClanFit beginners are completely hooked.
Don't wait until you feel "ready" — that day never comes. Book your free demo session with Sridhar and start your journey today.
